AOT Public Safety Corporation announces a project to implement iHawk(TM) in Cherry Point, NC

WALDORF, MD -- November 17 2003 -- AOT Public Safety Corporation (PSC) announces that the Marine Corps Air Station (MCAS) at Cherry Point, North Carolina has selected PSC’s iHawk(TM) system for use in supporting its e911 and Homeland Security Programs. iHawk(TM) is the leading mobile response system in the United States and Canada. MCAS is the Marine Corps’ largest air station.

iHawk(TM) is designed to be used in vehicles on mobile computers used by first responders to emergency situations. Given the location of the emergency incident, iHawk(TM) provides real-time global positioning (GPS) and vehicle progress towards the incident site, aerial imagery, building floor plans, emergency pre-plans, and other information necessary for an efficient and effective response. iHawk(TM) allows communities to better deploy their geospatial data to protect citizens and enhance public safety and support first responders from Fire, EMS, Police, HAZMAT Spill Response, Emergency Management and other agencies responding to conventional and terrorist incidents.

iHawk(TM) is deployed quickly because the management software requires little or no data conversion. Instead, the system views existing information in over 150 formats. iHawk(TM) allows for the viewing and manipulation of CAD drawings such as FireZone(TM), DXF, and DWG; standard imaging and graphic files; and other document and presentation formats. Documents or reports can be created and viewed on-the-fly from pre-plan databases maintained by a department. iHawk(TM) is an integrated suite of software applications based on ESRI’s MapObjects.
